South Florida Free Beaches/Florida Naturist Association was presented with the Northwest Miami-Dade American Cancer Society Relay for Life 2008 Willis Murray Spirit of Hope Award at a ceremony on March 28, 2008, at the Miami-Dade College North Campus.

SFFB/FNA was selected because of its skin cancer awareness programs, including hosting free public skin cancer screenings at Haulover Beach and distributing skin cancer awareness literature from the American Academy of Dermatologists to Haulover beach users.

SFFB/FNA would like to thank the American Academy of Dermatogists and its physician members who volunteered their time for the free skin cancer screenings over the years.
