Non-Sexual Nudity: Threat or Benign?
In October 1998, a continuing legal education symposium, jointly hosted by South Florida Free Beaches and
the Naturist Education Foundation, was held at Florida International University.

Attorneys & legal experts discussed and critiqued seven legal cases, and spoke on Nudity and the U.S.
First Amendment, the Nude Person & Property Rights, Nudity & the Fourteenth Amendment, and Nudity &
Privacy Rights.
Non-legal experts spoke on legislative trends, religious history, anthropology, psychology, and
on art and medical issues related to the topic.

On the last day of the symposium, participants were invited to visit
Haulover's naturist beach, then celebrating its seventh year as a public
clothing-optional facility.
